this is the contents i made for my school magazine. I used the ghost backgroud to fit in with the halloween theme of my magazine and i used a montage of a student at the top to schow it is infact a school magazine. i used such featured pages as 'term dates' 'halloween charity events' and 'revision tips' as they seem suitable to have in a school magazine.

my school front cover

this is my final draft of my school front cover. I chodse this picture of ellen as it is a midshot of the student and it shows her looking formal and enjoying doing school work. I used efcts on my phone to add a scratched look to the picture so it would fit in with my halloween theme. I then used publisher to add a title and some text.

Analysis of good photographs

Out of the photographs I took these were the ones that seem most acceptable to use on my front cover and contents page. I will analyse these photos to state why I think they would seem appropriate.

Analysis of bad photographs

For photographs I used one of my lessons to walk around the school taking pictures of a fellow class mate. Out of the many I took these are the photos I will not be using due to errors, I will be analysing these photos.



 



Target audience

i have decided my target audidence of my magazine will be the lower years of the school. I will approach this by using younger students in school uniform on the front cover of my magazine, i will also show this by including achievements and news from students from school years 7-9.

Questionnaire analysis

after recieving feedback from the 12 questionnaires i conducted, this is the information that i have collected.
When asked 'what do you think is a suitable name for the school magazine?' the most popular answer was 'beaverwood's got news'. 7 out of the 12 participants asked chose this option so this is the name i will be using for the front cover of my magazine.
The next question being 'what theme should the school magazine?' the majourity of the respondents chose the theme of halloween out of the many themes to choose from , this this will be the theme of my magazine.
when asked 'how much would you pay for the magazine?' all the respondents chose the 20p option so i will be selling my magazine at the price of 20p.
when the participants were asked 'should the magazine include a free gift?' many of the respondents chose yes, as they were asked to specify what the gift should include respondents suggested such things as makeup, nairl varnish, merits, vouchers and stationary. So i came to the conclusion that stationary would be best suited as a free gift because it fits the theme of school, so this will be the free gift i will be giving away.
another question the respondents were asked was 'what things should the magazine include?'. the respondents suggested such things as achievements by the students, school gossip, tips on how to survive school and activities going on inside school so these are things i will include.
when asked 'how often do you suggest it should be issued' the most popular response was weekly so i will be issuing my school magazine weekly.
